Korea's most-performed aesthetic procedure — 8 types covering wrinkles, jaw, trapezius, calf, skin and more.
Botox in Korea
Korea is one of the world's most advanced botox markets — with some of the most competitive pricing and highest practitioner expertise in Asia. Korean dermatologists have pioneered botox applications far beyond simple wrinkle treatment, developing specialized injection techniques for facial contouring, body slimming, and functional conditions like excessive sweating.
Premium Korean-made botulinum toxins — Botulax, Nabota, Meditoxin, and Innotox — are widely used alongside Allergan Botox and Dysport, at significantly lower cost without compromising on safety or results. All products are MFDS (Korean FDA) approved with rigorous clinical data.
Seoul's Gangnam district is home to hundreds of specialized dermatology clinics offering same-price-for-all transparent pricing, English-speaking coordinators, and a full spectrum of botox types — making it the top destination for botox-related medical tourism.

Wrinkle Botox
The most classic botox application — relaxing facial expression muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles. Korean clinics treat forehead lines, frown lines (11자 주름), crow's feet, bunny lines, lip lines, and neck bands with precisely calibrated doses for a natural, non-frozen result.
Korean practitioners are known for their "natural botox" technique — using lower doses spread across more injection points to maintain natural expressiveness while erasing wrinkles.
- Forehead horizontal lines
- Frown lines / 11s (미간 주름)
- Crow's feet (눈가 주름)
- Bunny lines
- Lip lines
- Neck bands
- Chin dimpling
- Brow lifting
Jaw Botox (V-Line)
One of Korea's most iconic botox treatments — masseter (jaw muscle) botox reduces the volume of the chewing muscle to slim and reshape a square jaw into a more oval or V-line facial silhouette. This is a purely Korean-pioneered technique that has spread globally.
The masseter is the large muscle used for chewing. Injecting botox causes it to gradually shrink over 4–8 weeks, visibly softening the lower face. With 2–3 repeated sessions, the muscle reduction becomes increasingly permanent.
- Square jaw → oval / V-line shape
- Lower face slimming
- Teeth grinding (bruxism) relief
- TMJ pain reduction
- Facial asymmetry correction
- Face appears longer & slimmer
- Reduced muscle bulk over time
- More feminine facial contour
Parotid Gland Botox
Parotid gland botox targets the large salivary glands located in front of and below each ear. When enlarged, these glands add fullness to the lower face, creating a rounder or wider appearance. Botox injected into the parotid gland temporarily reduces its size and secretory activity.
This treatment is often combined with masseter botox for comprehensive lower face slimming. While masseter botox addresses the jaw muscle, parotid botox targets the glandular volume — together they can dramatically change the lower face silhouette without surgery.
- Parotid gland volume reduction
- Lower face & cheek slimming
- Enhanced V-line effect
- Reduced saliva production
- Complementary to masseter botox
- Facial width reduction
- More defined cheekbone appearance
- Non-surgical face slimming
Temporal Botox
Temporal botox targets the temporalis muscle — the fan-shaped chewing muscle covering the temple area. When overdeveloped from habitual jaw clenching or teeth grinding, it creates visible bulging at the temples and a wider skull appearance from the front.
Temporal botox is a Korean specialty less known in Western aesthetic medicine but highly effective for a more refined, narrower upper facial profile. Popular combined with masseter and parotid botox for total face contouring — sometimes called "윤곽 보톡스 패키지".
- Temple muscle slimming
- Narrower upper face profile
- Reduced temple bulging
- Relief from temple headaches
- Jaw clenching & bruxism reduction
- Softer upper facial contour
- Complementary to masseter botox
- More oval head shape from front
Trapezius Botox
Trapezius botox reduces the upper trapezius muscle running from the neck to the shoulders. When overdeveloped — from stress, poor posture, or heavy gym use — this muscle creates a thick, raised shoulder-neck line that shortens the visual neck length and makes the shoulders appear broader.
This is one of Korea's most unique botox specialties, popularized by the K-beauty ideal of a long, graceful neck and slender shoulder line. It also provides significant relief from chronic neck and shoulder tension pain.
- Trapezius muscle slimming
- Visually longer neck line
- Slimmer shoulder silhouette
- Relief from chronic neck tension
- Shoulder & upper back pain reduction
- Improved posture appearance
- Headache relief (tension-related)
- More elegant neckline in photos
Calf Botox
Calf botox injects botulinum toxin into the gastrocnemius (calf) muscle to reduce its bulk, creating a slimmer, more elongated lower leg silhouette. This treatment is uniquely popular in Korea and East Asia, where slim calves are considered a key aesthetic goal.
The gastrocnemius has two heads — the medial head typically creates the characteristic "bulge" of the inner calf. Korean practitioners inject precisely into the motor points of each head to achieve even, symmetrical slimming without affecting walking or daily function.
- Calf muscle bulk reduction
- Slimmer lower leg silhouette
- Longer-looking leg line
- Inner calf bulge reduction
- More symmetrical calves
- Better fit for boots & fitted pants
- Gradual, natural-looking result
- Complementary to lipolysis for fat component
Hyperhidrosis Botox
Hyperhidrosis botox treats excessive sweating beyond the body's thermoregulatory needs. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve signals to sweat glands, dramatically reducing sweat production for 6–9 months — one of the longest-lasting botox applications.
Korean dermatologists treat underarm, palmar, plantar, facial, and groin hyperhidrosis with high success rates. The underarm treatment is most common and provides transformative quality-of-life improvement — eliminating sweat stains, odor, and social anxiety from excessive sweating.
- Underarm / axillary (겨드랑이)
- Palms / hands (손바닥)
- Feet / soles (발바닥)
- Facial sweating
- Scalp sweating
- Groin / inguinal area
- Forehead & nose sweating
- Compensatory sweating management
Skin Botox
Skin botox (also called micro-botox, mesobotox, or baby botox) injects extremely diluted botulinum toxin in small amounts into the superficial dermis — not into muscle. This technique targets sweat glands, sebaceous glands and superficial muscle fibers in the skin layer itself.
The result is dramatic improvement in skin texture, pore size, oiliness and fine lines — without the muscle-freezing effect of traditional botox. The face retains full natural expression while the skin surface becomes smoother, more matte and refined. Korea's most popular "natural" botox technique.
- Enlarged pore minimization
- Sebum & oiliness control
- Fine surface wrinkle smoothing
- Skin texture refinement
- Sweating reduction (facial)
- Natural expression preserved
- Glass skin effect enhancement
- Makeup application improvement
